Project Overview
Skien Tannlegesenter is a dental clinic based in Skien, Norway, offering general dentistry, root canal treatment, extractions, teeth cleaning, crowns, and care for patients with dental anxiety. The clinic also runs an evening dental emergency service (tannlegevakt) for patients who need urgent care outside normal hours.They needed a website that could do two jobs at once: give patients clear, trustworthy information about the clinic and its team, and make it simple to book an appointment or reach the clinic in an emergency.
The Challenge
Healthcare websites carry more weight than most. Visitors need to trust the clinic before they’ll book, and they often need information fast, especially when searching for emergency dental care. The site needed to:
- Present the clinic and its three dentists clearly, so patients know who they’re trusting with their care
- Make appointment booking and contact information easy to find from any page
- Explain treatments in plain language, without heavy dental jargon
- Load quickly and work well on mobile, since most patients search for a dentist from their phone
- Be structured for local SEO, so the clinic shows up when people nearby search for a dentist or emergency dental care
The Solution
We built the site on WordPress with Elementor, giving the clinic a design that’s easy to update on their end without needing a developer for every small change.
What we focused on:
- Clear service pages covering treatments like fillings, root canals, extractions, cleanings, crowns, and veneers, written so patients understand what each treatment involves
- A dedicated team section introducing each dentist, their background, and their areas of focus, including specialist experience with dental anxiety (odontofobi)
- Booking and contact made visible everywhere, with click-to-call phone numbers and a clear path to the appointment booking page from every screen
- Mobile-first layout, since most local searches for a dentist happen on a phone
- SEO-friendly structure built into the page architecture from the start, covering page titles, headings, and local business information, rather than added on after launch
